Don’t make car commercials. Make helpful salesperson content.
Best video practices for vehicle sales content — the detailed walkthrough for every agent and sales manager on Car-Space.
Eleven habits of videos that sell.
Hook in the first 2–3 seconds
Start with the reason someone should care: “This Tahoe just landed and it has the package everyone keeps asking for.”
Keep most videos short
15–30 sec for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. 30–60 sec for vehicle walkarounds. Longer only when the vehicle actually needs explanation.
Shoot vertical first
Use 9:16 as the default so the same video works across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook.
Show the car immediately
Don’t spend 10 seconds introducing yourself. Put the vehicle on screen first, then the salesperson.
Sell 3 things, not 30 things
One reason to stop scrolling, two or three standout features, one clear call to action.
Walk, point and demonstrate
Open the tailgate. Fold the seats. Start the engine. Show the screen. Let viewers hear the exhaust. Movement keeps people watching.
Get clean audio
Bad sound kills good video. Use a wireless mic when possible and avoid filming right beside traffic or loud dealership speakers.
Use natural light
Early morning, late afternoon or bright open shade usually looks better than harsh midday sun.
Always use captions
A lot of people watch with sound off. Keep captions large, clean and away from the bottom of the screen where the app controls sit.
Put the salesperson on camera
The competitive advantage of Car-Space is the person, not just the inventory. Viewers should learn who they’re buying from.
Never read a script word-for-word
Know your three talking points and say them your way. Sound like yourself — not like someone reading a brochure.
Benefit language, not brochure language
“This has a panoramic roof.”
“If you have kids in the back seat, this panoramic roof makes the whole cabin feel twice as open.”
Use this formula.
Example
“If you want a full-size SUV without paying Escalade money, look at this. This Tahoe Z71 just arrived. You get the off-road package, panoramic roof and three-row seating. I’m Chris at ABC Chevrolet — message me on Car-Space and I’ll send you the numbers.”
Keep it honest. Keep it clean.
Every Car-Space video follows these rules.
- Zero AI — no AI voices, avatars, scripts or generated footage. Real people selling real cars to real buyers
- No misleading pricing
- Never claim a vehicle is available if inventory says sold
- No filming customers without permission
- No copyrighted music unless it’s properly licensed
- Keep private paperwork, plates (where required), customer info and computer screens out of frame
- Mark sold vehicles clearly rather than deleting high-performing content
Don’t make car commercials. Make helpful salesperson content.
The goal is for the shopper to think:
“I trust this person. I’d buy a car from them.”
Two ways in. Same engine.
Whether you run the store or work the floor, Car-Space turns video into pipeline.
For Dealerships
Put your whole sales team on Car-Space. Your inventory gets hundreds of fresh video walkarounds, your agents generate their own leads, and your lead-vendor bill stops being your only growth lever.
For Sales Agents
Stop waiting on the up-system. Post walkarounds, grow followers in English, Spanish or any language you speak, and build a book of business that follows you for your whole career.
